Lyme, NH, mid-October

The great foliage season we enjoyed was winding down. I had many photos that needed editing. But the fog down below, filling the Connecticut River Valley, seduced me Sunday morning. I knew I could play games with the fog, driving in and out of it as I moved perpendicular to the river.

The idea I might be missing the last of the nice foliage got me out again Monday morning, even though I had planned to stay home. I told myself it would only be a short excursion.

A much more extensive fall foliage blog will appear later. Here is a teaser from Lyme, New Hampshire. All the photos here were taken in Lyme between 7:50 and 10:10 AM October 18 and between 7:30 and 8:30 AM October 19.

I hope you enjoy these photos. You can click on any one to stop the show and then step through them at your own pace using the arrow keys, if you wish.
