I just completed 2/3 of the Wainwright Trail across northern England with two great friends. Only one day of rain across the moors. Never been so wet with clothes on in my life. Otherwise the weather was great for hiking — 50 to mid-60s all days. Some long, 20+ mile, days and lots of uphills. The Lakes District is actually very mountainous and challenging.
