A short time before folks were due to arrive for a Photography class yesterday I spotted two pair of Evening Grosbeak in my yard. This was the first time I’d seen them around my house in several years. I quickly took some photos but had to stop as people arrived. By the time the class was over the Grosbeaks had departed.
The female on the left seemed to be scolding her mate.
