Two photographers headed out before dawn on Lake Sunapee last Saturday. The sky was too clear for a great sunrise, but the early light on the lake was interesting. Below is a motion blur, a full 45 minutes before the sun peaked over the treetops behind Loon Island Lighthouse.
Looking to the southeast, the lighthouse stood tall before the pink sky.
As the sun approached the horizon a bit of fog formed. It would have been very nice if it was thicker, but we were happy to take what we could get.
We paddled our kayaks across Burkehaven Harbor into Fishers Bay. From there we headed up the short and shallow Red Water Creek.
The sun rose higher and by 7:30 most of our photography was done.
A few more of the photos from the morning follow.
