Wilder WMA and Grant Brook

Wilder Wildlife Management Area and Grant Brook are along River Road about one mile south of the East Thetford Road in Lyme.  The wide mouth of Grant Brook can have hundreds of ducks in spring. It can be viewed from River Road or from the Wilder WMA that is just to the south.

The photo below shows the south part of the mouth of Grant Brook in early April.  The Wilder WMA is on the left side of this photo.

Often the ducks are quite far from the road at the edge of the Connecticut River, as seen in this collection of Wood Ducks with a few Mallards.
