Post Pond from Route 10

 

Although the Chase Beach area at Post Pond is for residents only, it is fine to park at the boat launch off Rt. 10 in Lyme and walk in.  Many of photos below were taken from the short road to the boat launch. Below is a view to the left of the boat launch area.  In the circle is an American Bittern.

One can also park at, or walk over to, the nearby Chaffee Nature Preserve, which has a wheelchair accessible trail to a blind overlooking Little Post Pond.
