Philbrick-Cricenti Bog

The Philbrick-Cricenti Bog is off Route 11 in New London just west of when the stores begin.  With its interesting boardwalks, it is a great place for kids.  But do not venture off the boards. 

Sometime before the spring of 2024, the boardwalks were significantly upgraded.

This is one of the prime bogs in the state.  It has many interesting bog plant species.  Most of the birds reside in the woods around the bog. All these photos were taken from one of the boardwalks.
