Newbury Harbor

Newbury Wetlands

The area around Newbury Harbor along Route 103 can be interesting in several seasons  —  spring and fall migrants and visitors from the north in winter.  Check out the ponds behind (southeast of) the small shopping center and the Police Department along the old rail trail that used to bring folks from Boston to the steamships on Lake Sunapee before the interstates.  The trees and shrubs along Route 103 northwest of the harbor itself can be good.
