Kilowatt Park

Kilowatt Park in Wilder, VT is most easily reached from Route 5 by taking Depot Street to Passumpsic Avenue.  The main area is KW South, but a trail takes one to KW North and this is definitely worth the walk.

Trail to KW North

Ducks in the Connecticut River are often too far way to view with anything but a scope. But sometimes they come within camera range.  Early morning light is directly off the river and often harsh.

Sometimes KW South is shared by children.  And there is an area where dogs can run free.

This site hosts a Mimid trio:  Gray Catbird, Northern Mockingbird, and Brown Thrasher. There is a platform where Ospreys pile sticks but so far have not nested.
