Cross Vermont Trail

I’ve birded the Cross Vermont Trail in Wells River Vermont four times, all with “Birding with Bill in Boltonville”, an event organized for over 20 years by Alice Allen and led by Bill Shepard.

 

This trail, which we start from the end of Industrial Park Road near Exit 17 of I-91 and head east, passes through a great variety of habitat in a short distance.  There is a nice wetland on one side for part of the way.

We normally walk as far as this broad part of the Wells River.
