Please explore these panoramic images. They don’t represent the highest quality of photography. Rather they provide a partial documentation of progress in October 2010 on a project to transform an old (1900ish) boathouse into a “cozy space”.

Here is how the boathouse looked after our summer visitors trashed the place. 😉 Well both the previous owner and Jann and I had something to do with the accumulation of “stuff”. This is a fun image to explore in detail. There is a lot to see. Fortunately, most of it has gone to a better place—junk heaven.

After we did some cleaning and made a big pile out front, here is how it looked. The pile was impressive. The crew added pieces of the roof and other debris to our pile.

On October 19 we check on the progress. We were pleased to see there was some. We were getting concerned that winter would set in before much happened.

On October 22 the loft floor has not gone in but the outline of the stairs can be seen.

Here is the junk Junk hauling the pile away in the early morning fog at around 7:30 am on what was a great day. Weather was beautiful—about 70 degrees, sunny (once the fog cleared), and no wind. And it was Jennifer’s birthday—October 26.

Later that day I shot this panorama. Can you find the face in the boathouse wall? It is amazing what appeared once we dug our way to the walls.

Yes, October 26 was truly a beautiful day on the island.

After the fall building season, this is what the lake floor looked like. You might see stitching errors in merging the various images. These are not construction defects.

And here is the loft on November 21 after everyone left until spring. Again, please overlook the stitching errors.
